Sometimes the simplest hobbies are the ones we need the most.
We spend so much of our lives rushing from one thing to the next.
There are emails to answer, errands to run, dishes waiting in the sink, and a never-ending list of things that need our attention. Even when we finally sit down to relax, it’s easy to find ourselves scrolling through our phones, watching just one more video, or checking one more notification.
Somewhere along the way, many of us forgot what it feels like to simply create.
Not because we have to.
Not because we’re trying to be productive.
Just because it feels good.
That’s one of the things I love most about colouring.
When you open a colouring book, there isn’t a right answer waiting on the next page. No deadlines. No grades. No expectations. Just a blank illustration and a handful of colors waiting for your imagination.
Maybe today your sky is blue.
Maybe tomorrow it’s lavender, pink, and filled with tiny golden stars.
Both are perfect.
Colouring gives us permission to play again.

A Few Quiet Minutes Can Change the Whole Day
One of my favorite things about colouring is that it doesn’t ask for very much.
You don’t need an expensive craft room.
You don’t need years of artistic experience.
You don’t even need a full afternoon.
Sometimes twenty quiet minutes with a cup of tea and a handful of colored pencils is enough to make the day feel a little slower.
A little softer.
A little more your own.

Every Page Becomes Your Own Story
One of the most wonderful things about colouring books is that no two finished pages ever look the same.
Two people can color the exact same illustration and create something completely different.
One might choose warm autumn oranges and rich browns.
Another might imagine the same cozy cottage covered in fresh spring blossoms.
Neither is wrong.
That’s the magic.
Each page becomes a small reflection of the person colouring it.

Cozy Creativity Matters
At Little Stardust Press, every book begins with a simple question:
“Would I want to spend a peaceful afternoon with these pages?”
That question guides every collection I create.
Whether it’s a cozy bookstore, a sleepy fairy village, a vintage record shop, or a warm little cabin tucked into the woods, my goal is always the same—to create illustrations that invite you to slow down, settle in, and enjoy the process.
Not because perfection matters.
Because presence does.

Make Time for Something That Doesn’t Need to Be Perfect
We often feel pressure to make everything productive.
To learn faster.
To work harder.
To check one more thing off the list.
Colouring gently reminds us that some moments don’t need a purpose beyond enjoyment.
Sometimes the most valuable thing we can do is sit quietly, choose a favorite colour, and bring a page to life one pencil stroke at a time.
And maybe that’s why adult colouring has become so beloved.
Not because it’s about staying inside the lines.
Because, for a little while, it lets us step outside the busy pace of everyday life.

Come Colour With Me
Whether you’re just discovering adult coloring or you’ve been enjoying it for years, I’m so happy you’re here.
I hope the pages at Little Stardust Press become a small part of your quiet moments, your cozy evenings, and your creative adventures.
After all…
Life doesn’t always have to move quickly.
Sometimes the best moments happen one colour at a time.
✨ Happy coloring!✨
